The delivery time for COSCO SHIPPING Lines largely depends on the type of service chosen, the distance between the origin and the destination, and external factors like weather conditions and port regulations. It could range from a few days for domestic shipments within China to several weeks for international shipments. However, these are estimates and actual delivery times can vary.

COSCO eGlobal Service

In the quest to remain a dominant player in the global shipping industry, COSCO SHIPPING Lines has developed an innovative digital solution known as COSCO eGlobal Service. This platform is designed to streamline the shipping process and provide customers with a seamless, efficient, and user-friendly experience.

The eGlobal service by COSCO is aimed at facilitating the process of shipping for international and domestic clients. It is especially useful for those dealing with express shipments and provides a simple and convenient method to manage all logistics and shipping needs. The system allows users to track their shipments, receive updates, and provides detailed information about the shipping process, from dispatch to delivery.

Users need to fill out a detailed form in English or the language of the destination country to use the service. This form requires the sender to provide accurate and detailed content about the shipment, including the type of goods, the destination, and contact information. This allows for efficient and effective tracking and handling of the goods. The sender must also ensure that the package is suitably packed for international transport to prevent any damage during the shipping process.

However, there are certain restrictions on the types of goods that can be shipped via the eGlobal service. For instance, goods that are restricted or banned by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) or the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) are not eligible for shipment. The service also does not permit the shipment of toxic, explosive, flammable, corrosive, or radioactive items, nor firearms, drugs, obscene products, anesthetics, or psychotropic substances. Similarly, goods that contravene the laws, regulations, or rules of China or the destination country are also prohibited.

The eGlobal service calculates freight charges based on the volume weight of the package. If the size of the package exceeds the international line charging standard, the charges are based on the volume weight, calculated as Length (cm) x Width (cm) x Height (cm) / 6,000. If the actual weight of the item is greater than the volume weight, the actual weight is used to calculate the charges.
