Track DPD China packages

DPD China

DPD China provides cross-border parcel and logistics services from mainland China as part of the Geopost network. DPD's China information identifies Lenton Group as representing the DPD brand in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Those regional links do not mean that every international destination has DPD-owned facilities; shipments can continue through Geopost companies, local DPD operations or delivery partners according to the route.

The China operation focuses on cross-border movement. Its current services cover routes from China to European markets, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Australia and New Zealand, while the China website also highlights service to Canada. For inbound traffic, ezChina combines international transport, customs support and local delivery in mainland China, including personal-effects routing through a Hong Kong gateway and direct clearance for eligible shipments in selected mainland cities.

How to track DPD China packages

To check a DPD China shipment on 4Tracking, copy the tracking number supplied by the sender, enter the complete number in the tracking field and submit the search. Review the shipment events returned for that number to see the recorded progress of the parcel and identify the latest available transport, customs or delivery event.

Tracking is not a continuous map of the parcel. A shipment can be moving between facilities even when the latest visible event has not changed. If 4Tracking returns no information, check the number for typing errors and confirm with the sender that the reference is the carrier tracking number rather than an order or invoice number.

DPD China also has its own tracking service at tracking.dpd.cn. Its support pages say shipment details can be checked by tracking number and also identify Hub-EZ as a carrier-side tracking option for relevant shipments. These are DPD-operated tools; their functions should not be assumed to be features of 4Tracking.

For cross-border shipments, the final delivery stage depends on the route. DPD China's service pages describe coordinated last-mile delivery through destination networks in Europe, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Australia and New Zealand. If a second reference appears after a handoff, keep the original tracking number and use the additional number when contacting the destination carrier.

DPD China tracking number formats

DPD China's public tracking and support pages do not confirm one common tracking-number length, prefix or letter-and-digit pattern for every China cross-border and Hub-EZ shipment. Copy the complete number exactly as it appears in the dispatch message, shipping label or sender's paperwork rather than trying to identify a shipment from an assumed format.

Preserve leading zeros and any letters shown in the reference. If you have only a retailer's order number or an internal booking reference, ask the sender for the DPD tracking number assigned to the shipment. This is also the safest next step when a number is accepted by the sender's system but produces no package tracking result.

DPD China delivery times

DPD China does not publish one delivery-time promise for all of its international routes. Transit depends on the origin and destination, service purchased, flight schedules, customs processing and destination delivery network. Use the estimate supplied for your booked route instead of applying a time from another DPD market.

For a documented inbound example, DPD China's ezChina support information gives a typical transit time of 3–7 days for shipments from the United Kingdom to China. This is a route-specific reference for that import service, not a guarantee for every UK shipment and not an estimate for exports from China.

For China-to-South Africa traffic, the ezSouthAfrica express door-to-door service uses up to six flights per week and covers consolidation in China, international transport, South African import clearance and final-mile delivery. The flight frequency describes how the route is supported; DPD China does not present it as a door-to-door delivery-time promise. Ask for the booking-specific schedule when you need an expected arrival date.

European delivery can also vary by destination postcode. DPD China's support material notes that delivery times may be extended for remote-area postcodes. Once a shipment has entered its destination network, the local DPD operation or final-mile carrier may have a more precise delivery estimate.

Customs clearance is separate from total transit time. DPD China's import service includes customs support, and Chinese Customs may inspect a shipment or require supporting information before release. A parcel can therefore complete its international transport while still awaiting clearance and local delivery; no single customs-processing duration applies to every shipment.

How to contact DPD China about shipment issues

For a mainland-China shipment problem, the current DPD China contact page provides an online enquiry form with fields for the tracking number and a detailed description. The support section also lists 021-34096560 as the customer service hotline for complaints. For a lost or damaged consignment, DPD directs customers to contact its service team for help with the claim process.

Prepare the complete tracking number, sender and recipient names, origin and destination, shipment date and the latest tracking event before contacting support. For import issues, keep the relevant commercial or customs documents available. For damage, retain the packaging, photos and shipment paperwork until DPD explains what is required for the case.

Hong Kong and Taiwan have separate regional support channels. If the shipment is specifically handled as DPD Hong Kong, the official customer service hotline is +852 2620 0289. For DPD Taiwan, the listed customer service number is +886 2 2627 1808. Use those contacts only when the shipment paperwork or tracking identifies the relevant regional service.

If tracking shows that a parcel was signed for but the recipient cannot find it, DPD China's support guidance says to confirm with the recipient first and then contact the service centre if it remains missing. For a delayed shipment, the support page directs customers to customer service rather than promising a separate delay notification.

Frequently asked questions about DPD China package tracking issues

Why is my DPD China tracking number not working?

Check the reference against the sender's shipping confirmation and make sure it is the carrier tracking number, not an order or invoice number. If it is correct but still returns no result, ask whether the shipment has been dispatched and whether another Hub-EZ or partner reference applies.

Why has my DPD China tracking stopped updating?

A gap between events does not by itself mean the parcel has stopped moving. If the route-specific estimate has passed or the latest event shows an unresolved exception, contact DPD China with the tracking number and last visible event.

Tracking says the package was signed for, but I do not have it. What should I do?

Check with the named recipient or anyone else who may have accepted the shipment. If it is still missing, contact the DPD service centre and provide the tracking number so the delivery record can be investigated.

Why is my shipment waiting at customs in China?

Chinese Customs can inspect shipments and may require descriptions or supporting documents before release. Ask the sender or DPD China whether additional information is needed; customs clearance is a separate stage from the international transport leg.

Can I change the delivery address while a DPD China shipment is in transit?

DPD China's support information says recipients may be able to change the delivery address after receiving a notification through the Predict service. Availability depends on the route and service, so contact DPD if that option is not offered for your shipment.

What should I do if my DPD China package is lost or damaged?

Use DPD China's contact channel and provide the tracking number and shipment details. Customer service can explain the claim process and the documents required for that shipment.

Does a Hong Kong or Taiwan handoff mean my tracking number has changed?

Not necessarily. Keep the original reference, but also use any additional tracking number supplied after transfer to a regional or final-mile service. If the references cannot be matched, ask the sender or the relevant DPD support team which number is active.
