Track Serbia Post packages

Serbia Post

Serbia Post, officially the Post of Serbia, is the national public postal operator serving customers across Serbia. Its network handles letters, registered mail, parcels, express shipments and other postal services for individuals and businesses, combining traditional post-office services with electronic tools for Tracking registered postal items.

For regular parcel shipping within Serbia, Serbia Post provides a registered parcel service intended for customers who need a safe and economical way to send goods and other permitted items without requiring express delivery. Domestic parcels can weigh up to 31.5 kg and receive a registered receipt number that can be used for package tracking when the shipment type supports electronic Tracking.

Customers who need faster delivery can use Post Express, Serbia Post's domestic courier service. Post Express accepts documents, goods and other permitted contents and provides several delivery options, including Next Day Delivery, delivery to a post office or parcel machine, Same Day Delivery and Instant Delivery. Eligible Post Express shipments can also include options such as insured value, cash on delivery, return receipt and personal delivery.

Serbia Post also provides international postal services from Serbia. These include international parcels and EMS, the Express Mail Service for faster international shipments. EMS items are registered postal items that can contain documents, goods and other permitted contents and can weigh up to 30 kg. International delivery availability and transit expectations depend on the destination and service selected rather than on one universal delivery schedule.

How to Track Serbia Post packages

To Track a Serbia Post shipment with 4Tracking, enter the shipment's registered tracking number into the tracking field and start the search. 4Tracking can display available package tracking events in one place, making it convenient to follow Serbia Post alongside shipments handled by other postal and courier companies.

You can also use the official Serbia Post Track and Trace service. Enter the reception or identification number shown on the postal receipt. The official system can display the date, time, post office or processing location and current shipment status. Possible statuses include reception, dispatch, delivered, in charge of delivery, redirection, returned to sender and other delivery-related events.

Serbia Post states that Track and Trace supports insured letters, registered postal items, parcels, Post Express items, registered international mail and EMS shipments. For delivered items, a digitized signature may also be available when it exists in the system. For some international shipments, tracking information on the Serbia Post system may cover movement within Serbia up to the exchange office or departure from the country, after which additional events can depend on information supplied by the destination postal system.

Serbia Post tracking number formats

Serbia Post's official customer guidance states that postal item numbers used with the International Postal System follow the structure of two letters, nine digits and two letters. Instead of relying on unofficial examples, use the exact tracking number printed on your receipt or supplied by the sender.

The first letters also help identify certain shipment categories. Serbia Post states that insured letters begin with V followed by another letter, domestic registered postal items use the RE designation, parcels begin with C followed by another letter, Post Express items use PE, registered international postal items begin with R followed by another letter, and EMS items begin with E followed by another letter. These prefixes should be followed by the remaining characters assigned to the individual shipment.

A useful way to understand the official structure is as a template rather than as a fabricated tracking number: an EMS item starts with E plus another letter, a parcel starts with C plus another letter, and a registered international item starts with R plus another letter, while the complete IPS-style identifier contains nine digits between the initial and final two-letter sections. Always copy the actual identifier exactly as issued.

How long does Serbia Post delivery take?

Delivery time depends heavily on the Serbia Post service selected. For standard domestic parcels within Serbia, the official service information gives a delivery time limit of up to 5 working days. This service is intended for customers who do not place the highest priority on speed and prefer a standard parcel option.

Post Express provides shorter guaranteed delivery schedules. Next Day Delivery is delivered throughout Serbia by 19:00 on the following working day. For the Post Express option delivered to a post office, the shipment becomes available for collection at the delivery post office on the next working day, and the corresponding parcel-machine option makes the item available at the selected parcel machine on the next working day.

For example, an eligible Post Express shipment accepted for Next Day Delivery should be delivered by 19:00 on the following working day. With Same Day Delivery, the official schedule provides delivery on the same day by 20:00, with the service information describing delivery in another city between 16:00 and 20:00. Instant Delivery has an official delivery time of 4 hours after acceptance in the Belgrade area and 3 hours in other supported cities.

International delivery should not be estimated using the domestic Post Express times. Serbia Post publishes expected EMS transfer times according to the individual destination rather than one worldwide figure. The day of acceptance, applicable Saturdays and Sundays, non-working state or religious holidays, and time spent in customs are excluded from the stated expected EMS transfer period. International parcel delivery deadlines are also described as expected rather than guaranteed.

How to contact Serbia Post about shipment issues

If package tracking does not provide enough information, Serbia Post's general Contact Center can assist with shipment status and other postal-service questions. The official numbers are 0700 100 300 and +381 11 3607 788. The Contact Center operates from 08:00 to 20:00 on working days and from 08:00 to 15:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.

For Post Express shipments specifically, customers can contact the Post Express Call Center at 0800 100 808 or +381 11 3607 607. Serbia Post also lists postexpress@posta.rs for Post Express enquiries. When contacting support, have the registered shipment number ready along with the sender and recipient details and a description of the Tracking or delivery problem.

Serbia Post also provides an online customer-service form where users can ask about the status of a registered postal item. Formal claims or complaints can be submitted electronically, handed in at a post office, or sent in writing to Post of Serbia, Takovska 2, 11120 Belgrade, PAK 135403. If a parcel came from a retailer or another sender, contacting the sender as well can be useful because the sender holds the original posting receipt and may need to initiate a formal inquiry.

Frequently asked questions about Serbia Post package tracking issues

Why is my Serbia Post tracking number not working?

Check that you entered the registered postal item number exactly as shown on the receipt or shipping confirmation. Serbia Post's Track and Trace system only supports shipment categories intended for electronic Tracking, such as registered items, insured letters, parcels, Post Express and EMS. A newly accepted item may also need to receive its first scan before useful Tracking information appears.

What format should a Serbia Post tracking number have?

Serbia Post states that postal identifiers used in the International Postal System follow a two-letter, nine-digit, two-letter structure. The carrier also publishes category prefixes: parcels start with C plus another letter, registered international items with R plus another letter, EMS with E plus another letter, insured letters with V plus another letter, domestic registered mail uses RE and Post Express uses PE.

Why has my Serbia Post Tracking stopped updating?

Tracking events are recorded at important stages of postal processing, so there can be a period without a new scan while the shipment travels between facilities. International shipments can also have limited Serbia Post events after leaving Serbia. If the shipment has exceeded its expected time or the latest status indicates a problem, contact Serbia Post and provide the registered item number.

How long can a normal Serbia Post parcel take within Serbia?

Serbia Post publishes a delivery time limit of up to 5 working days for its standard domestic parcel service. Customers who require faster delivery can consider Post Express services, which have different schedules depending on whether Next Day, Same Day or Instant Delivery is selected.

Does Post Express always arrive the next day?

Not every Post Express shipment uses the Next Day service. Post Express offers several delivery types. For shipments accepted under Next Day Delivery, the official guaranteed schedule is delivery by 19:00 on the following working day. Other Post Express options follow their own conditions and availability.

Why is an international Serbia Post package taking longer than expected?

International delivery depends on the destination, the postal service selected and customs processing. Serbia Post explains that expected EMS times exclude customs detention and certain non-working days. International parcel deadlines are expected rather than guaranteed, so a customs hold or processing by the destination postal service can extend the overall transit time.

What should I do if Serbia Post shows my package as delivered but I did not receive it?

Check the detailed Tracking result first, because Serbia Post may display the delivery date, time, location, recipient information and, when available, a digitized signature. If you still cannot identify who received the shipment, contact Serbia Post's Contact Center with the tracking number and request additional delivery information. The sender should also be informed if a formal claim may be required.

Can I Track Serbia Post packages with 4Tracking?

Yes. Enter your Serbia Post tracking number on 4Tracking to follow the shipment events that are available for that item. This lets you Track Serbia Post packages together with shipments from other postal and courier operators through one universal package tracking website.
