About Emirates Post

The United Arab Emirates joined the Universal Postal Union on 03/30/1973. The UAE was elected to the Postal Operations Council of the Universal Postal Union at the 25th World Postal Conference held in Doha in October 2012.


The Emirates Post Group Training Center received accreditation from the Universal Postal Union to implement training programs for neighboring post establishments.

In 2006, the UAE was chosen by the Universal Postal Union to host its three-day strategic conference in Dubai - which was held for the first time outside the UPU headquarters.

Emirates Post Group supports the various activities and initiatives of the Universal Postal Union, including the IFS money transfer system, which enables the secure transfer of funds through the postal network.
